Chris and I wanted to create a travelling exhibition with a wooden valise based on the Valise exhibit boxes Marcel Duchamp created for his own work. The Boîte/cabinet valise is both the travel container and focal point of the exhibit. It is made of cherry wood, with 44 C-print panorama works, each 17 × 37 inches (43 x 94 cm). There are books, publications, brochures, artist’s archival material, texts, documents, leather bound photo album of 27 colour studies in the exhibit box.
